Responsibility Towards Underprivileged

The primary reason for us to exist is to serve our Underprivileged. In my opinion, it is all of our responsibility to help the poor and disenfranchised. A community is not just the very rich or middle class but all members. Even in rural areas, before Medicaid, individual townships had relief committees to help the poor – poor didn’t mean lazy; . Societies need to get out of the habit of calling some poor worthy of benefits and others lazy and undeserving. In today’s economy, many working class citizens and heads of families are living paycheck to paycheck because of wage stagnation. One car accident or serious illness and their home is history. It can happen to any of us at any time.
